One. Applications in the Machinery Industry
High-viscosity silicone oil is used as a lubricating grease, providing lubrication, sealing, thermal conductivity, and insulation. In motors, electrical appliances, and electronic instruments, it serves as an insulating medium with temperature resistance, arc and corona resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and dust prevention. It is also used as an impregnating agent in transformers, capacitors, and television scanning transformers. In various precision machinery, instruments, and meters, it is used as a liquid shock absorber and damping material. Dimethyl silicone oil's shock-absorbing performance is less affected by temperature, making it suitable for applications with strong mechanical vibrations and large environmental temperature variations, such as instruments used in aircraft and automobiles. Four. As an Additive
High-viscosity methyl silicone oil can be used as an additive for many materials. For example, it can be used as a gloss enhancer for paints. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to paint can prevent the paint from floating or wrinkling and improve the gloss of the paint film. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to ink can improve printing quality. Adding a small amount of silicone oil to polishing oil (such as automotive polish) can increase gloss, protect the paint film, and have excellent waterproof effect. As a hand feel agent, it provides a smooth feel. After being processed into an emulsion, it can be used for the coating treatment of PU leather.
