Analysis of the Superior Performance and Applications of 107 Silicone Rubber
The chemical name of 107 silicone rubber is hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane.
107 silicone rubber is the abbreviation for 107-type room temperature vulcanizing methyl silicone rubber (RTV). It belongs to the organosilicon product category and is a colorless, transparent, flowing liquid.
It possesses excellent electrical insulation and resistance to high and low temperatures. It has a high flash point and a low freezing point, allowing for long-term use in temperatures ranging from -50℃ to 250℃. It also features a low viscosity-temperature coefficient, high compressibility, low surface tension, and good hydrophobicity and moisture resistance. These characteristics enable it to maintain stable performance in various complex environments.

Applications of 107 Silicone Rubber
As a caulking and sealing material, it is widely used in the bonding of glass and metal curtain walls, roof sealing, door and window sealing, and various pool and tile bonding sealants (silicone sealants). Its excellent sealing and durability enable buildings to resist wind and rain erosion and extend their service life.

In the electronics industry
As a potting and filling material for electronic components, it effectively prevents moisture, provides insulation, resists shock and impact, and resists sudden temperature changes and chemical corrosion, providing a solid guarantee for the stable operation of electronic equipment.
Due to its excellent simulation properties and good demolding performance, it is widely used in the soft mold industry for molding and demolding of rubber and plastic products. It not only improves the precision and durability of molds but also reduces production costs and increases production efficiency.

In the new energy vehicle sector
It is mainly used for on-site molding of gaskets and bonding and sealing of automotive engines, windshields, door and window frames, as well as thermally conductive potting in inverters. These applications not only improve the sealing and thermal conductivity of automobiles but also effectively extend their service life.
Used as a smoothing agent, leather lubricant, release agent, and rubber roller material.

In the photovoltaic field
Due to the resistance to UV aging and high and low temperature aging, silicone room temperature vulcanizates are widely used for sealing photovoltaic modules, enabling photovoltaic modules to maintain good sealing performance for decades, providing strong support for the development of clean energy.
